VALERIA COSI

Born in Florence Italy in 1984.
She started study dance when she was three years and half with ballet training. Slowly her training became more professional. She started studying and sustaining ARAD exams. At the age of 16 she started to train also in Contemporary dance participating in different National and International competitions and workshops. In 2004 she moved to The Netherlands to study at Codarts Rotterdam dance academy, from which she graduate in 2008 in the performing department. During those years she worked with different choreographers and teachers from the most prestigious companies. She is a photographer of performing arts, and a visual artist, she is now performing her own choreography in The Netherlands, and creating an association of young artist focusing on interdisciplinary works. As an artist she realize the importance of self-consciousness, and that the respect of our own identity and individuality is in this historical moment crucial.
Therefore she strongly believes that dance and dancers has to be able to recognize their own being and capability, using them to express without disrespect their own personality and the value of it.

M.EUGENIA DEMEGLIO

Born in Italy in 1985, she started playing flute and attending ballet classes at the age of 8.
What seemed to be a hobby became a raison d’être, so that in 1999 she moved to Turin to have a professional education in dance, leaving the flute in its case forever. Happy, but not fully satisfied yet, she was dreaming of meaningful body communication while being caged in a tutu, so that in 2004 she’s immigrated in Rotterdam, where she’s just got a Bachelor in dance, specialization Choreography, at Codarts.
Throughout these 15 years, she’d met various aspects and international personalities of the dance and theatre world, learning improvisation, composition, modern techniques and modern repertoire; or assisting them in their productions, among others, A. van Dijk, D. Newcomb, A. Battistini. She’d performed for various young and affirmed choreographers in The Netherlands, Belgium and Italy, and she’d created around ten theatre-dance pieces and installations performed in various Institutions and Festivals in the same Countries, such as Nederlandse Architectuur Instituut, Academiegebouw Utrecht, Korzo Theatre, Rotterdam Film Festival, Theater Lantaren/ Venster, Festival Lunatica and Festival dell’Incanto.
At the moment she understood that improvisation is the best vehicle to embody the contemporary concept of now for both audience and performer.

JORDI BALLARIN

Jordi is nowadays cursing a Master in Jazz saxophone in the Rotterdam’s Conservatoire. Last year he obtained his bachelor diploma in the same institution. Before that he got a degree in Media Communication in the Complutense University in Madrid, where he also followed workshops about music pedagogy and the Kodaly method.

Before coming to Holland he was working for two years in the Teto Music School in Madrid, as a saxophone, solfege and music propedeutic teacher. During his period in Holland he kept on teaching saxophone and solfege on private lessons.
